RAT AND DAT DISCONTINUED

In his DepEd Order No. 7, series of 2012 dated January 20, Sec. Armin Luistro has ordered the discontinuation of all scheduled RAT and DAT beginning school year 2012 to 2013, which is also the transition phase in the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.

Luistro further said in his directive that the National Achievement Test held March every year shall be the sole assessment tool that will be recognized in measuring the performance of pupils and students.

The conduct of any other school assessments must be properly coordinated with the Office of the Secretary through the Undersecretary for Programs and Project, said the DepEd Order.

On the other hand, DepEd 6 resource mobilization special program and project division chief Dr. Eden Deriada said they are still finalizing the dates for the conduct of the RAT in the region.  This will be administered to Grade VI and fourth year students in all public elementary and secondary schools.
